Due to a lack of USB ports on my new macbook i am considering buying a midi cable to go straight into my Saffire 6
When I try and use my Saffire 6 through a USB bus, I get crackling sounds when playing music due to bandwidth issues.
My question is do I gain/lose any functionality on the SP when using Midi cable into my interface, as opposed to a USB cable? Is there a ‘better’ choice to use or are they pretty much one and the same>
