OK, I’ve checked the forum and seen some info about getting the RME to play legato from an external MIDI controller. But, I’m guess I’m missing something. With 3 different keyboards I can’t get the RME to multi-trigger. If I hold a note down it and press another it won’t trigger on the second note. I know it’s a monosynth. I just want to be able to retrigger like I can on a Voyager keyboard. I’ve got the following settings:
MASTER 4.2 Menu
MIDI Key Order
Maximum Keys = 1
Active Key = 1st
EDIT 3.4 Menu
Trigger Modes = Multi Trigger
The OS and Boot versions are both 3.5.
Am I missing another parameter somewhere? In another post it looked like the problem was resolved by setting the Active Key. But, I learned that one when my first RME came in and wouldn’t make a sound.
Appreciate any guidance.
Thanks very much for the help. Setting Active Key = Off worked. I’m used to Poly mode I haven’t used a single RME for a while. I actually did try setting Active Key = Off, but it didn’t seem to change anything. A bit of an inconsistency in how menu functions are implemented, I think. If you change a value like MIDI Transpose while you’re in that submenu, you can hear the pitch change as you adjust the value. Or if you set Local Control On or Off you can tell the that it takes effect while you’re still in the submenu. But, for the MIDI Key Order you have to set the Active Key and press Enter to exit the submenu before the change registers. That’s kind of why I didn’t think it was working. Glad I got it now though. Thanks.
