MIDI Arpeggios not working with Minimoog!

I have encountered some strange MIDI issues with my Minimoog reissue.

Generally, when controlling the Minimoog with my Motif XF via MIDI, everything works as it should – it responds to all regular patterns, songs and voices just fine. However, for some reason ONLY when I send the Motif’s arpeggios to the Moog, it fails to respond properly – at best it will play a few random notes from the arp here and there, but not the full melody/sequence of notes.

All my other synths with MIDI play out the Motifs arps perfectly, but the Minimoog falls short. Is it because the new Minis’ MIDI implementation is limited? I know it can’t send modulation messages for example. Or is there some under the hood setting I am missing?

Someone please help, its driving me kind of bonkers, haha. :confused:

Hmmm strange. Is the motif arpegiator trying to send polyphonic note information? Not sure whether your mini is set up for low,high or last note priority - maybe something to explore. But also try setting the motif to mono mode. Just a thought.

Awww yeah… fixed it, Thanks Markyboard!!! The moog needed to be set on “last note priority”.
