MIDI 2.0 - Are Synth like Moog One MIDI 2.0 aware.

Thought the above folks did a great job explaining MIDI 2.0.

Cliff notes:
MIDI 1.0 was a monologue, MIDI 2.0 is a dialog. Devices can talk to each other and agree on features that both devices support. This fundamental paradigm shift has opened a whole new world of possibilities.

Profile Configuration and Property Exchange are new options to bring increased auto-configuration. MIDI systems will be easier to use when devices learn about each other and self-configure their connections.

I’m trying to wrap my protocol brain around this. Would/is MIDI-CI hardware add-on or black-box-in-the-middle requirement? Are today Synths like the Moog One already MIDI 2.0 capable or aware?

Thoughts?

As written at www.midi.org:

Unlike MIDI 1.0, which was initially tied to a specific hardware implementation, a new Universal MIDI Packet format makes it easy to implement MIDI 2.0 on any digital transport (like USB or Ethernet).

So a software update for the USB and Ethernet connectors is needed. The needed hardware is there. But before adding this new MIDI 2.0 protocol, there are other things to get done on the Moog One. And with just one piece of equipment being able to do MIDI 2.0, there is no change for you. You need MIDI 2.0 software or hardware to use it. So it is a matter, who will start adding this.

Outstanding, thank you!!!
