Micro CV controller for Minitaur?

Heya folks. I’m an electric bass player diving into the world of triggering analog synth bass via my Peavey MidiBass. I’m delighted with the Minitaur’s sound and response.

Taking one’s hands completely off the bass to reach for a knob can be difficult, so I’ve been toying with the idea of mounting a small CV controller - say with three knobs - on the front of the bass. Does such a thing exist already? Is it feasible to DIY such a thing? Any suggestions or links gratefully received. TIA!

Koma Elektronik’s Kommander might suit you well, you can even move three parameters with just one hand!

Take into account this is only CV, though you can map any parameter in the Minitaur to the CV inputs…

Oh, now that is just awesome, and great price - I knew this would be the perfect place to come for that sort of information. I’ll experiment to see if I can get the sort of finesse out of it that I’ll need. With a little luck I’ll be able to tap 9v dc directly from the MidiBass which is powered by DC via a multipair cable. Thanks!

If I were looking for something similarly small but with hardware knobs (or even better, a modwheel) does anything spring to mind?

I wouldn’t recommend using anything but the original adapter, which is included.

The EP-3 and CP-251 are perfectly suited for this job, but if you are able to get an Etherwave Plus, that is maybe the best of them all.
