my MG-1 has keys that sound like the contacts are dirty. you press a key and the note sort of cuts in and out and then after a second or so becomes solid. the weird thing is, this happens on different keys. it’s never the the same keys that are acting up. your thoughts?
It’s more likely to be a dirty switch … Clean all the inevitable black gunk out of it!.. Waggle a few switches and see if that makes any difference!!

well, thats the thing. it’s been degunked and all the sliders are brand new… the key contacts have never been cleaned so i thought it may be that. but its weird how its never the same keys acting up. thanks anyway though, i appreciate it.
are you sure its not a setting.. If you have filter mod up but at a slow rate it will sound as iff the note is wavering back and forth or in and out..
try turning down all the sliders in the MOD section .. put auto contour trigger set to OUT.. Make sure filter setting are all at about 4 0r 5..
If it is the key contacts DO NOT USE ANY “CAIG” Brand Spray cleaners.. It might fix it for a day untill that shit attracts more dust than it did since it was released in 81’.. Its like putting WD40 in skateboard bearings..
you just don’t do it !!! It is much better to use canned air to spray most of it away.. then use a pencil eraser to gently “erase” the krusty shit..
