MF-108 Cluster Flux Into Solid State?

I’m about ready to pull the trigger on one of these units for incorporation into the effects loop of my tube amp but am wondering how it would react to being run through a solid state amp such as a Roland? I use both for my home recording studio. Any insight?
Thanks,

I’ve got a Mesa Bass amp that has a Tube front end and Solid state amp stage and mine has been in and out of the loop and it works great. My loop is serial so everything goes through (there is no mix control on the amp) but the presence of drive + output and mix make it capable of adapting to incoming and the demands/requirements of outbound.

But one thing that I’ve been very interested in picking up allows a removal of most of the pedals that you might have and the end of your chain (and in the amp loop); although pricey, the Lehle Parallel “L” looks great: http://www.lehle.com/products/frameset_l1.php?country=other&lang=en&L1_Link=Parallel_L

I have one of their Little Lehle II pedals at the front of my loop and it works well. In short, my signal change (for my bass) looks like:

Carl Martin compressor/limiter → Korg Pitchblack tuner → Little Looper which goes into front end of Amp
The Little looper has EHX MicroPog → TC Elec. MojoMojo overdrive → MF-101 then back to Little Looper

And in my effect loop is TC Elect. Flashback Delay → MF-108 → TC Elect. Hall of Fame Reverb

The last bit is what I want to move onto the Parallel “L”.

I typically play only w/Compressor
or w/Compressor and MF-101 and a little Reverb
or some combination of the rest but most imporant for me is that the signal from my Jazz Bass (Passive pups) is as clean as possible into the Tube stage.

I know you are talking about keyboards, but the drive/output controls I mentioned at the top will make everything work quite nicely.

Thanks. Actually I’m using this for guitar. Most of my recording is via my Mesa Stiletto Ace Combo. I’m using a Rivera Rock Crusher as my load box running directly into my audio interface.
There are times I will use a Roland Cube 80XL which I can run directly out from the Recording Out jack on the Cube into the interface. I wanted to know if I can also use the 108 on the Roland.

Thanks,

I don’t see why not, since the vast majority of keyboard amps are solid state, and that a lot of MF’s are sold to keyboardists.
