Hi all, just wondering what people are doing with the EXT Loop IN & OUT Connectors?
The manual suggests the 102, just curious to see what others are doing with these jacks ![]()
Cheers

Oh and can the EXT loop in & out be used as sort of a CV in out? could I modulate something like an cv input on my XL with the loop out?
Cheers
Loop out throws audio, beware.
i tried once to put a POG in the loop, but either I set the send/return levels bad or the MF104 eats too much high frequencies for having a true beautiful shimmering effect.
What exactly do these jacks do then?
Do they send just the wet signal?
They allow you to put whatever effect you want in the feedback loop.
That way only repetitions are effected, plus they are each time more effected.
If you set an octaver, let’s say one octave up, every repetition will be octaved up, resulting in a rising-brightening sound, provided you set the feedback high enough.
I believe the answer to that question is in the manual
(I guess Im going to have to start harping on you lol).
It sends the signal through a single delay, and then out through your external effects and then back to the delay chips. So that’s why your first delay isn’t affected.
Any effect will do. Ive run every fooger through there, even a second delay with a different time value. I don’t really use this very much because I prefer the regular circuit.
DO NOT USE THE DELAY FOR CONTROL SIGNALS.
Sweet, cheers mate thanks for your help ![]()
I have had a quick read over the manual, but it just didn’t quite make seance to me.
At the moment I cant use the thing as I am waiting for a AUS PSU, just ironing out a few crease before it gets here, I am sure it will all come together nicely once I can hear it all working.

You can also treat the loop in and out as the input and output for some tone shaping fun. Cluster flux + delay is a blast with both of their “insert” loops!
