mf-104m delay out question

Hi all,

i have the delay 104m, and when i use the output “delay out” i don’t get what i’m expecting for: when i press bypass to switch the delay off i am waiting for the “delay out” to stop, or at least to go on delaying; instead of this, the dry signal comes out.. is this normal?

this happens NOT in spillover mode. in spillover mode it works fine, when the effect is of only the tail of the delay comes out with no dry signal.

thanks for your feedback!

Mine does this as well, so I’m assuming it’s normal.

Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m guessing it’s because the signal continues to pass through the circuit when it’s in spillover mode when bypassed. The only way for the delay to continue repeating after you press the footswitch is for the circuit to remain active. You can also tell this by the level of noise that continues even when bypassed in spillover mode. Since the “delay out” is 100% wet, nothing will pass through because any further repeats are stopped.

When bypassed in normal mode, you’re only passing through the buffer and not the rest of the circuit. Since the delay trails are cut off immediately, there would be no reason to mute the “delay out” since you can then send the signal straight to it with the switch.
