MF-103 output level boost mod?

Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone knows of, or has investigated, a possible mod to boost the output level (when engaged) of the MF-103 Phaser at least 3-6dB?

My 103’s output is too quiet when engaged, there is a noticeable reduction of volume compared to the bypassed state (at least 3dB) unless I crank the input drive so high that it causes unwanted distortion. Even in that case, there still is a slightly noticeable difference in volume, just not as extreme.

Thanks for any/all suggestions.

The drive control is always active. Have you tried to match the bypassed/effected signal by adjusting the output level knob with the effect on?

Yes. Sorry, I may not have been as clear as possible. To put it simply, with the Output level knob all the way up (clockwise) it is still 3-6db quieter than the bypassed/dry signal. I’m basically looking for a mod that would increase the amount of boost that the Output level can do.

that’s odd because on my mf-103 with the output knob about 2/3rds of the way up the effect is significantly boosted…

Oh weak! I might have a dud then :frowning:

Sounds busted. There should be a volume boost when turning it on if the output knob is all the way up.

On the bright side, at least you don’t have to mod it now!

Doh…sounds like a call/email to the Moog folks is in order.

Thanks for your input everyone.
