MF-102: oscillator turned into a sawtooth - strange problem

my ringmodulator behaves strangely:

the carrier oscillator is now a different waveform! it sounds sawtoothish, and the frequency range is different also.
I kind of like this - the tremolo is choppy and a switch to activate this would be great, but out of the blue it´s bad, bad, bad because I am in the middle of a production where I need the smooth sine tremolo.

I also tried this: I connected an sine output of a doepfer modular lfo into the carrier in and I got a funny rhythm going on.

I tried unplugging from power, unplugging all other cables, plugging in an expression pedal…

I am powering it from a voodoo lab pedal power 2+ but have done so for the last couple of months without a problem.

it has happened before, with the ringmodulator turning to normal state again, but I didn´t inspect this as closely before so I don´t know what made it go back to normal.

please help if you have an idea what to do!

can you try the original power supply?

Are any of the control input sockets bent or shorted out??

thanks for the answers.

today I had time to go back to my studio and I checked, the tremolo was still funky.

than I plugged in the original power supply and it was still funky.
next I unscrewed the bottom plate to have a look inside. everything looks ok for me, but I´m not an expert.
next I reassembled the thing and plugged in the original power supply - voila, back to normal again.
I then checked again with the voodoo lab power supply, no problem.

I remember this happened before some months ago, but I can´t tell what the procedure was that helped.

I am puzzled.
hm?
