MF-102/Juno 60 question

Hi all.

I have a quick question. I recently picked up a Roland Juno 60 from a very lucky fellow who had just bought a voyager. The only other synth I own is a prodigy with no connectors other than the audio out. The Juno has more jacks on the back.

What I’m wondering about is there is a jack on the back of the Juno that says “VCF Control.” Does anyone know what the nature of this jack is? Is it some sort of CV input? I’m wondering if I could patch the LFO out from the MF-102 into the VCF control on the Juno and control the filter with the 102’s LFO for some interesting effects. But I don’t want to try this if it’s going to zap my Juno. The manual for the Juno just has a picture of a volume pedal going into the VCF control jack, presumably to do filter sweeps via foot control. But if it’s CV I might be able to trigger the filter in interesting ways with the 102.

Any ideas?

its a cv input and you can use it to control filter cutoff globally

how about a volume pedal input, you could use cv on one of these to control the vca couldn’t you?

it pisses me off how the juno only has filter in and the sh 101 only has cv (pitch ) in (and out but tha’s not the point) I have both but as i don’t have any foogers with LFOs i can’t really complain because it doesn’t effect me yet.

yeah it’s good that the juno 60 has vcf in, because it only has 1 LFO and it’s a crap one at that (not much range and sinewave only)

Yeah, I like the sounds I can get out of the Juno a lot, but I like the LFO on my prodigy a lot more. It’s faster and has different shapes. That’s why I was interested in whether or not I could use the LFO on the MF-102 to trigger the Juno’s filter. It should expand my Juno’s possibilities.
