I’m having annoying midi issues trying to have my MPC One+ sequence my new Messenger. As soon as I have the MPC send any midi information, the filter cutoff knob on the Messenger stops responding and is essentially wide open. My guess is the MPC is somehow triggering the global “Filter Off” command. Changing midi channels to something unused doesn’t help, and it doesn’t matter if I’m using DIN or USB-Midi. I’m on the latest firmware. If I pull the MPC out of the equation and use my Matriarch as a controller it works fine. I’ve never had this problem with any another synth. Has anyone else ran into this issue? Solutions?
Plug a MIDI monitor in between and look how the MIDI streams differ. This might give a hint.
You may need to adjust some of the settings for the midi in the messenger editor, maybe PRGM change or recieve midi transport.
