Are there any international retailers of the moog clothing? I just went to buy one of the new OSC hoodies, but international shipping was over $36.00! The jacket only costs $49.00. That’s a lot more than shipping for an item of that size and weight needs to be. Any advice? If there is another way of getting it aside from direct from moog, that would be great. I just don’t see anything but hardware available from UK sellers.
i’m in the same boat. Also add on the fact that anything over £18 in value is due customs and you’re looking at £52 (hoodie plus postage) plus in the order of £26 duty - that’s a whopping £78 for a hoodie ($127).
The hoodie’s cool, but not that neat.
The duty would be more like £5 - VAT is only 15%, plus you have the £8 charge. £13 isn’t so bad (and you can get away with it), the issue I have is with the postage costs - $36.25 (close enough) is not the actual cost of posting, it’s a lot more. I just bought a Midi MuRF from the states, the shipping was less than the quote for the hoodie shipping, that puts it in perspective…
Ooops, i mixed up my dollars and pounds when calculating (slaps forehead).
However, VAT will be back to 17.5% as of January (wish they’d get my Taurus pedals to me before the new year for the lower tax) so you’re still looking at around £66 ($107).
Sent an email to moog about this, and enquiring about UK distribution and shipping. No reply…guess I wont be making this purchase.
Which isn’t the case. Unknown to Moog merchandising is a world outside the USA (it exists - i live there) and i often see clothing labelled “USA Medium/Europe Large” as some of our US cousins are a bit bigger than us lot, so Small may actually be Medium.
I do find it strange that I send an email that basically says ‘I want to buy your merchandise, please facilitate this’ is ignored. Maybe it’s because I’ve been spoilt lately with some stellar service from a few other companies that this gripes me…certainly not small ones either. Pity…
