Dear Users, I have a Memorymoog +, recently the first 20 patches have faulted. The sequencer lights up and there is no sound! The other patches work OK. I was thinking to load original default factory programs. Is it easy, will I need an old cassette player and cassette patches or maybe can do from a WAV file? Or is there a initialize factory preset function I don’t know about?! Thanks very much! ![]()
There is no factory initialization reset for the Memorymoog. Unless you have a LAMM, the only way to load patches is via the cassette I/O jacks. You can use a cassette player or a WAV file played back from your computer may work. The user manual does have the patch sheets for the factory sounds if all else fails.
One question remains though: why did those memory patches became corrupted ? Low battery level for memory back-up maybe ?
I would investigate that before anything else…
Oh, and welcome to the forum Travestito (what a strange name, but no more than The Alien666
)
True dat - I replaced my battery a couple of years ago after finding corrupted patches.
Guys thank you very much for the reply, been very helpful, will try the battery and try source get the original patches loaded again. ![]()
P.S I think you have to open up the unit up and it’s in the middle top of the synth. I don’t like opening them up! Just in case you close them and they never light up again! Is it an easy easy job?
Is it an easy job ? For a qualified tech, or experienced electronics hobbyist like myself, yes. For a novice, I’d have to say, no.
Thanks will get it sorted.
