Unfortunately, I am in a financial bind and I am forced to sell my Memorymoog. I am offering it here first before I try to sell it on Craigslist or ebay. I am very sad to see it go because it is by far the coolest synth in my collection. But it is also the most valuable and I need to let it go.
This synth was given a complete overhaul by Memorymoog guru Gerry Dahl last summer. Since then it’s been completely reliable and it sounds like a dream. Here is his description of the work he performed:
The power supply was rebuilt with all new caps, Power transistors have been
properly remounted to the heat sink, a 45 degree power connector has been installed
All the AC connectors have been cleaned and re-tensioned, full calibration.
All circuit boards have been updated with gold interconnects and cleaned
of solder flux.
1 CEM3360 has been replaced on the common analog board
and 1 CEM3360 has been replaced on the Glide/Contour board.
The demux board had 4051 IC replaced and a TL072 op amp replaced.
All voices have been recalibrated.
All switches and pots have been cleaned.
Mod and pitch wheels have been cleaned
Factory patches have been installed.
Various updates cleanup for better servicing.
The synth sounds wonderful.
This is a non-plus model, serial number 1965, no MIDI. Cosmetic condition is very clean, but not perfect. It’s in very good condition, but not mint. I can provide pictures to interested parties. Functionally, however, it’s perfect. It needs a few minutes to warm up (maybe 10 to 15) and then it tunes and stays in tune just fine. It is currently loaded with the factory presets. It sounds awesome. I will always miss this synth.
I know that these things are notoriously fragile. I have successfully packed and shipped this synth twice already. I still have the box I made for it.
