Machinedrum as Voyager Sequencer/CV Controller

So today I was feeling creative and wishing that I had the CP/VX combo, and was trying to figure out other ways of getting CV input into my Voyager for fun/noise.

I hooked up a few of the outputs of my Machinedrum to the CV inputs on the voyager (even though the outputs on the MD aren’t ‘CV’ per se, but are just outputed signals (which are voltages). I can (while not with a huge amount of precise control) use the sequencer on the MD to output varying voltages (which I’m controlling as volumes and envelopes on the MD) into the voyager. It’s a little buggy too for some reason, and occasionally the Gate input is skipping notes, but it’s a nice randomness.

I can almost make an arpegiator by setting a track on the MD to output varying volumes into the Voyager.

Anyone have any other creative uses like this?

Also, layering a Sidstation with the Voyager (and then running everything either through the Sid filterrs for some nastyness… or through the Moog filters for smoothness) is fun as hell. Also lets you play poly lines with the Sid but keep the moog mono (of course, as I don’t have a memorymoog)
