I think his gripe was that if you “bump them” they go out of tune.

I guess. I thought they were great. And, I just happened across a picture of my first synth from back in high school ('78?). It’s a stand-alone SEM connected to a keyboard I built. Loved that thing!

The build quality of Macbeth is tops. I own his Moroco filter. ( number 6 of 20)
The micromac would fit in good here.
