Okay just received my new LP on Friday. Went through all the calibration steps.
The issue I am having is when calibrated and in auto tune the LP will read flat on the lowest octave, lowest key. And on the highest octave, highest key the LP read sharp on the tuner. Every other octave is spot on in tune.
This LP is my first analog synth. I’m not sure if the issue I’m running into is something to take concern to or if it is just part of how an analog synth works.
Any insight or guidance would dearly be appreciated.
Thank you!
I’ve already read some had problems with the auto tune thing. I don’t remember what exactly though.
Maybe you can start with doing the calibration a second time, just to be sure…?
I never use auto tune and recently tried it. Had the same result on my LP Tribute and even after calibration. Tune is now either set to off or on. That solved my problem… I don’t really see much of the merit behind the auto tune function anyway.
EDIT: it appears the auto tune error corrected itself. I never use it because I tune by ear, but the inaccuracies of auto tune seem to have worked themselves out according to the tuner in my Korg MR2. The only I thing I did was calibrate last night, today I let the LP warm up for 30-40 minutes (I usually need 10-15, but it is cold in this part of the world right now), and the only thing I hear is the usual analog oscillator drift. I hope this helps the OP.
