my lp has got really strange tuning issues since i ran note-pw-osc2freq calibration (several times)
i.e.
OSC1
play note a on keyboard
16"=a
8"=c1
4"=c2
2"=c3
OSC2
play note a on keyboard
freq at 12:00
16"=d
8"=d2
4"=e3
2"=e4
OSC2 freq is all the way right same key as OSC1
OSC2 freq in the middle is 4 keys up from OSC1 note
OSC2 freq all the way left is suddenly a much higher note
Since your presets have been saved in the librarian (good call!) -
Might be worth doing a factory reset on the LP, then run through ALL the calibration steps again, in the order specified in the LP manual. Be sure the LP is warmed up (30-45 minutes “on”) before starting the calibration routines…
The Factory Reset is on page 44, and the calibration routines are listed in the LP Stage II manual on pages 45 thru 49.
Recommend doing the Factory Reset first, then ALL the calibration routine steps as listed in the manual.
Takes a while, but might make a big difference for you!
(Made a HUGE difference when I was getting my LP and two Slims “tuned” for the poly-chain!)
i know where the factory reset is and also how to do it - same with the calibrations.
but i’ve read a few times “do the different calibrations in the right order” in in the manual there is no order described (except that u should do freqosc2 calibration after note calibration - i’ll do that now.)
hopefully it will make a difference..
thanks for your advices - i will reply as soon as calibration is finished..
factory reset+calibrations in the right order helped - everything is running fine now.
the only thing i noticed - the note calibration menu suggested note 12 - 124 - in the manual it says 12-116 - i changed the 124 to 116 - did the note calibration and now everything works fine.
