LP Stage II Firmware Update Problem

Hello all.

Apologies for my first post being a tech enquiry but I cannot find any info about this online.

If there is any way you can advise me that would be great. I’ve contacted support via email but would like to know if anyone can help me with this problem.

My LP Stage II is running version 2.2 588/24.

I’d like to update to the latest version which I have downloaded. Unfortunately, when I hold ‘master’ and power on, I do not see the ‘Update Firmware?’ message that I think I should get. The LP just boots as normal.

I have turned ‘FW Update’ on in the System Utilities menu, and have done a master reboot and factory reset.

The software itself (on my mac) can see the LP, and transmit the info to it, but unfortunately thr LP isn’t listening.

Any advice?

Not sure if it is relevant but when I’m going through the presets the LP gets a bit stuck around the number 34 mark, and takes a few seconds to get past it - the lcd letters appear very slowly. Either side of number 34 it is fine.

Sweet, glad my first post here can be a helpful one. I had the same problem upgrading my LP Stage II Redback Edition yesterday. :wink:

You get the problem you are describing because the new Bootloader that the v3 updates need has not been installed yet.
You will first need to install the 3.1 update from here: http://www.moogmusic.com/OSv3.1 first (instructions included in the download). Thread on the update is here: http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11359

Once that is done you can then update to the latest version.
