LP Portability and gigability vs. the Voyager?

I’m planning very soon on gigging a lot more with my moog voyager. The only problem is that I’m worried about it getting messed up and it’s really heavy and takes up a lot of space in my car. Do any of you Little Phatty owners out there also own voyagers and gig with either/or? I’m assuming that the LP is much easier to transport but how about for playing live on? Thanks guys!

I use a Little Phatty at the Contemporary Service at church to play lead/bass/and pads on the “slower” music. Before that I was taking a Voyager each Sunday . The LP is quite a bit lighter to carry, I told everyone when I started using it that I lost 18 pounds .

The Gig bag for each provides enough protection to go from your house to the car to the “gig” It will not protect it from hard bumps or hits though. Both gig bags work well though. The LP takes up less space too, not a whole lot but enough that it could make a difference.

The Little Phatty works fine for liver performance, I had no problem getting used to the four knobs and button assignment. Depending on what sounds you want/need to use, the LP should be able to hold its own well. I have a lot of fun using both in the studio.

I use them both in live performance. I highly suggest the ATA case. I’m lucky and bought the aluminum ATA for the Voyager. It’s nearly indestructable. I’ve been using the LP in a gig bag (not Moog gig bag), but I am difinitely going to get the ATA for it.

yeah I have the molded hardshell case and the gig bag for the voyager. The gig bag doesn’t provide a huge amount of protection (besides some small scratches and rain) but the hardshell casse makes it way heavier…sounds like maybe it wouldn’t make a huge difference if I had the LP vs. the voyager huh?
Thanks again guys for you responses!
