Hi -
Just joined the beta recently and have been exercising the Editor (v 9.40) for several days. It’s a really good piece of software, great work everybody.
I haven’t run into any defects yet, but there is one issue which caught my attention: In the Librarian, we can load and save “Banks,” meaning all 256 presets at once. However, on the synth itself, we navigate presets based on 16 “Banks” of 16 presets. That’s kind of a semantic disconnect (to me, at least). Would be nice if in the Librarian we were dealing with the 256-preset collections by another name. Maybe “Sound Set” or simply “Set.” (I realize that word has another meaning to Ableton Live users.) Maybe (surely) there’s a better word.
I personally would like to make that distinction because I would dearly like to be able to dump/load/save presets in Banks of 16. It would also make sense to me to present the list of presets in hardware in Banks of 16 (maybe 16 rows of 16 presets? it would take a tiny font to fit 16 names horizontally, but that’s the way I visualize the Sub 37’s memory; maybe a sharp UI designer could help).
Anyhow, it’s a wonderful app and i’ll keep banging on it to see if I can find an actual bug or two.
Thanks!
