Looping station?

What do you think of using that looping stompbox with the LP?
It would nice to create a live overdub, eg. bass and lead.

I’m thinking of using it for live performance, what do you think?
Anyone can recommend a looping station except this one?

I have one & its awesome! Only thing is.. its currently buried in my pedalboard & not much near my LP so its like.. kick it on.. run over to the LP & chop hehe.

ive got the 20xl and its ok, you can start and loop your stuff really intuitively. its allso nice to be able to erase the overdub you made.

Has anyone tried the Elektro Harmonics one ?

no, but that one is sweeeeeet! more for desktop use though. check the reviews on the ehx-site

They had one at my local used gear shop, and it had a companion stomp box foot control, all functions programmable by feet, I t was however broken therefore I did not buy it.

i know, but then still you would wanne put the pedal itself on a table or something. it has a nice eq and a mixdown plus panningpossibilities. even pitching i think.
you can record 4 tracks (with unlimited overdubs, mix those after every recording>overdub>mix>overdub>etc.)
then put them in all (all4) in a final mix, which you can save and tweak and stuff.
very nice!
dont think the bossrc50 has those features.

I’ve been considering a loop station for a long time, but there’s one thing that bothers me. The only loop stations I’ve found on the net are designed for use with a guitar, so their loop in mono (some have stereo inputs but sum the loops to mono anyway), so my ping-pong echo, reverbs from my rack effects unit go out the window.

Is there a true stereo looper? It doesn’t have to be a pedal, but has to enable live performance.

The Boss RC-50 has stereo I/O.

i just bought 2 rc20xl’s
2 times mono equals stereo.
the rc50 is a bit too huge for my setup.
(i use it with my drumkit)

???

How will you sync them to loop at the same time?

you dont.
that’s the nice thing.
you know, sometimes; synchronicity kind of sucks actually, a bit.
:astonished:

do these loopers suck the tone really bad?

no not really bad.

but i guess major audiophiles (like alot of moog-owners ) could think it sucks (tone).
