a memorymoog would be too much expensive, BUT a poliphonic oscillators expansion for voyager could be a very interesting solution…and less pricey by the way

That would be my choice as well. Hell, make it a synth workstation comparable to, say, a Kurzweil K2661. Of course, it has to be competitively priced and offer something that the other synth workstations don’t have (other than the Moog nameplate).
And at the same time, the Research & Development costs have to be kept down as well. The Syntheziser History Museum is filled with companies who had great products and ideas, but they couldn’t sell enough units to recoup their investment in R&D.
I think it would be very nice if they made a Monosynth module with Midi to CV conversion. something like the Microcon II or the MFB Synth lite

More like the price of a Voyager…_
I’m talking about a litlle compact module, It wouldn’t be the same price of the Voyager because the Voyager has the keyboard controller, Fully implemented midi, touch-screen controller Pacth memory, 3 VCO’s as opposed to 2, Dual Lowpass/Highpass-Lowpass and a lot of nice wood is used on the body.
In the module I have in mind the filters would be only lowpass, traditional 24db moog filters with resonance as opposed to those found in the Voyager.
I don’t think i’m exagerating about the price maybe you could add up a couple $100’s more just for being a Moog. But other competitors already have really nice things out there like the Microcon II from Technosaurus, Dave Smith Instruments’ Evolver, 'The Black Coffe from Analog Solutions, and they all cost anywhere from $429 to $519. all people including me would prefer to buy a similar module sporting the Moog brand, and you’ll know that by paying a little more, lets say$650-$750 you’ll be getting that Moog sound designed by the man himself. but there’s no way that anyone would pay more than $1000 for a module with this features:

My favorite of the three is the Evolver from Dave Smith. I think it has too many good features and excellent quality for only $479, but I think I’m going to end up buying the MicroconII because you could use it as a Midi-to-CV converter and still has excellent sounds. In the end, if there was a Moog module with features like the ones all this modules have, I would go for the Moog module, even if I had to pay $700 for it, and if you wanna cut some features like all the CV out’s you could make it compatible with the VX-351 Voyager expander and lower the cost of the module even more. I think my idea makes sense.

I used to own a Microcon II.
It’s a great sounding box, but it ain’t no Voyager and there is a reason it is cheap. One VCO with suboscillator, a single AD EG with shared D/R and zero/full sustain switch, and pitiful modulation options.
The Black Coffee isn’t much more sophisicated.
The only difference between the Voyager and your wish list is lack of the 3rd VCO, no patch storage, and no MIDI out. Have you any idea how much hardware there is on the Voyager analog voice board alone, which doesn’t include the MIDI engine?
That’s quite a stretch from the BK/Microcon and your wish list.

Something I’d like to see would be ALL the Moogerfoogers (and maybe the Voyager breakout box) in ONE box (say, the size of a Voyager). All the ins/outs convieniently located on the back panel. I guess it would be the ultimate modular expander. But, hey, that’s just me… (who’s STILL waiting for his Etherwave Pro Theremin…).

I don’t know about that “all in one” system…it’s something about phase shifting and delay that just doesen’t seem like classic modular synthisis(and I know Moog made a phase shifter module in the past).
I posted this on the fooger page, i’ll post it here too. It’s a moogerfooger system, everything in one box! I wish I could contact the person who made this! It is basically what you were talking about, bunnyman.
