Looking for help with Moog Muse power supply unit

Hi all, my Muse died recently during playing and not able to start. Opened up and found the power supply board indicator light does not lit up. I am able to identify the PSU brand and AI has given me a few guesses of the exact model, but I don’t want to mess up the machine by choosing a wrong voltage and current rating. Can I check if there are experts here who can advise me on the PSU output specification to Muse main board so I can purchase the exact replacement or better if anyone can suggest me good quality alternative as I live in a hot and humid climate and power supply board failure is common among all my electronic equipments. Thanks all. Btw, customer service is not able to help except providing me a service centre 2000 km away.

Really sorry to hear about that! I bought my Muse from Sweetwater for a sweet deal price since I’ve been a loyal customer for over a decade. They give you two years warranty instead of just one year, so it was worth the couple hundred dollars more to buy it new rather than used without a warranty. Obviously this is not a solution for you. Where do you live btw? Humid? I’m thinking Brazil, LOL.

Just a thought, can the service center 2000 km away sell you the power supply and mail it to you? If not, I would contact the USA customer service and try explaining your problem.

Another thing you might be able to do is get a copy of the circuit diagram from Customer Service (or the one 2000 km away) that might show you everything you need to procure a 3rd party equivalent.

Boa Sorte (if you’re from Brazil) or just Good Luck. Let us know how you make out.

Hi Fred, thanks for the advise. Btw I live in Singapore haha. The nearest service centre is at Thailand, but customer service has provided me the power supply model in the end so I can purchase from local electronics retailer. Hope it is just the PSU fault.

Glad you found a solution. Could you please share the Power supply number and info? Thx -hjp

Part code: TRN-10-000-0012

Alternative part code: SPSEPS-65-12

Just to update on the post for future reference. I bought the PSU and everything back to work. Phew😅

That’s great news Cclfour!! I copied the part number just in case for my future. I’ll never sell my Muse!

I hear Singapore is absolutely beautiful, you’re so lucky!
