I’ve been strugling to make the LP VST editor work in Ableton Live for about an hour now. In standalone, it does work fine. I can monitor midi going in and out from and to the LP. In Ableton Live however, nothing happens. Nothing goes in or out of the VST, no matter what I try ! Even the host midi doesn’t work.
So :
Is there a way to make it work ?
If not, I want a refund, as the editor is useless to me as a standalone, and it was advertised as working in Ableton Live 7 and 8, and it’s clearly not the case.
I’m using Ableton Live 8.3.4, LP Editor VST version 2.2. I also tried in Ableton 9 beta, with still no success.
This is Perry with Moog Tech Support. There are a few settings that need to be adjusted in Ableton before the VST will function. In order for the VST to send and receive MIDI from the hardware, you actually need to disable the MIDI connection running straight into Ableton:
*Before opening the VST, go to Preferences > MIDI and disable MIDI In and Out to the LP
*Now, launch the VST and go to MIDI Setup within the plug-in. Select the LP as the Editor MIDI In and Editor MIDI Out device.
