I love this… it looks like mine! I’m glad they come with the black endcaps now instead of the grey they have in the pics on their site. (would still love to get some nice wood ones though)
Well, like mentioned previously, each unit is different. There will be subtle nuances of each machine that may effect the sound.
That being said, even with a 4 slim phatty chain, sometimes, even with the same patch, I can tell which unit is being played due to this, but only when playing it by itself, doubt you’d really make out the difference in a track.
With all this being said, it should be generally AN AWESOME thing that they be slightly detuned from one another, as it really is a great sound.
I’ve seriously contemplated selling my LPSII and getting the Solar ED. Now that I have seen (a tease really) it with the black ends, yeah, this may happen soon.
It is SO sexy, but I think they raised the price by a hundred or maybe I am just going crazy, but I called them and asked why and they said they’d give it to me for less. First time ordering from Sweetwater, effing amazing customer service.
Sweetwater is seriously awesome! What I like about them the most is I have had the exact same sales rep with every order, so I know who I am talking to.
