little phatty stage 2 Arpeggiator question.

i bought one a couple of months back and still can’t figure out how to turn on the arpeddiator. and is it the same thing as a Arpeggio ? what’s the difference?

nobody else knows how to use the Arpeggiator ?

If it is already enabled for a preset, then you just push the Value button to turn it on. When you hold a chord it will arpeggiate.

If the arpeggiator is not enabled, then you need to go into the Advanced settings menu to enable it. That is also where you can change how the arpeggiator behaves (how many octaves it covers, what order the notes are played, etc.).

Hope that helps!

Thank you , this is the first synth i’ve ever played so I’m completely clueless when it comes to … well everything. how do i get to the Advanced settings menu exactly? Thanks again Bryan

Press Master, rotate the Value knob until you get to the Advanced Menu. Then, if I’m remembering correctly, you press Enter to get into that menu. From there, use the Value knob to scroll through submenus and use the Enter button to enter submenus or make changes.

I would strongly encourage you to read through the Little Phatty manual. It is really well written (all of Moog’s manuals are) and steps through the features. The Appendix on analog synthesis is a great primer.

Enjoy the Little Phatty!

Actually, it’s the Cursor button to enter a sub menu and also to signify you are ready to change and/or cycle through values with the value knob . Once in a submenu, the Master button brings you back to top level Master menu. The Enter button is mostly used to answer specific questions (such as overwrite a patch yes or no) and to enter the Arpegiator menu.

At any rate, this, and much much more is explained in here :
