Hi everyone,
Iv just started to use Ableton for production and I am laying some parts down which are being recorded fine (MIDI parts) but for some reason I cannot get Ableton to send the notes back to the Phatty to trigger them. Iv probably missed something very obvious but I have been a Logic user for over 5 years and im still getting used to Ableton.. any help much appreciated! Btw this shouldn’t be a Phatty setting problem as it works 100% fine in Logic.. so must be something im doing wrong in Ableton.

Have you set up an External Instrument in Live for the Phatty? Amos has a great tutorial on how to do this with the Minitaur on YouTube but the same applies to the Phatty…
Yeah iv set all that up and I have recorded MIDI from the Moog onto a track.. all that is not happening is the MIDI date recorded is not getting back to my Phatty and triggering it..
Do you have the Phatty properly set up in the Ableton MIDI Preferences? Should be ON-off-off for the input and ON-ON-off for the output.
Do you have the MIDI track output routed to the Phatty on the correct channel?
I’ve been using Live for years and hooking up my Slim was as simple as doing both the above.
External Instrument is not required to make this work, I never use it myself.
