LFO Clock Divider to Modulation knob.... WHEN??

Hello there!!

First of all i want to say hi to everybody in this nice community. This is my first post, and ive been using my little phatty stage II with Cv-out mods for only a few weeks, however im not new to synthesis and sound design.

After some time tweaking and playing with the LP, I´ve noticed some things that, after searching and reading through your posts, lots of people are experiencing.

The first thing being the Fatal Error KEYBOARD OVERRUN, happening when operating the LP at LFO Rates that are quite high or when browsing through presets, or when sending midi clock “start” signals, or simply when just operating with the arpeggiator or lfo clock.

I´ve also read responses from Amos, promising potential fixes and changes to this bugs concerning this faulty operation of the LP.

Another problem which keeps me up at night is that my LP S2 manual (p.27) claims that when the LFO Sync Mode is ‘MIDI CLOCK’, the MODULATION control can be used to select the clock divider, and that the 15 LED’s will correspond to the 15 settings. This is not the case.

i´ve also read promises from Amos to consider to include this function, however, havent seen it yet.

What i dont find right, is that my manual is stating something that is completely untrue. Is this correct?

Thanks a lot, and i hope you guys can give me some feedback soon.

The midi sync LFO rate is easily accessed through the menus. It is right below where you change the LFO from internal to MIDI. It will be nice when the rate can control the clock divider, though. I just recently began using an external midi knob/slider/button controller with my LP. One of the main reasons was to have the LFO jump from one clock division to another without having to hit all the ones in between (whole to 1/4 and back). Opening up the other menu controls for sound design and the arp is nice too.

The new OS should be out very soon. The slim phatty began shipping. That will have a new sound bank and a new OS. For patches created on the SP to play on the LP, the new OS will have to be on the LP since there are some new functions added.

The Slim Phatty has this feature, and it will come to the Little Phatty as soon as OS 3 for the Little Phatty is ready.
That will probably be within the next couple of months (so, by end of 2010 or in time for Winter NAMM ).
