I have copies of those prints.

Got them from Audities.org years before BMF existed.

i was aware of their existence, it was " a preview of things to come. Talk amongst yourselves." line that i found intriguing.

Probably just means that “we will be scanning and posting more random technical documents in the future”, which to me is not terribly exciting… :unamused:

No I’m pretty sure it means they are developing a 16 voice , multi-timbral voyager with full modular control for $3000

… or yeah what you said…

The date on the document is from 1970. Not a preview of things to come but rather an abandoned project from the past

Looks like the optional custom polyphonic oscillator bank for the modular systems. There was one on the Carlos system, but not a lot of info on how it worked/tuned/sustained and such. The 1970 catalog listed the polyphonic oscillators could be controlled from the 950 keyboard at the bottom of the list.

And a photo of the connections on the back of the 950 that could be connected to either the scale programer or polyphonic oscillator bank.

Lots of those old schematics that I would like to see. Like the wiring of a Minimoog oscillator bank for use in the Carlos system, or a close up of the panel for those oscillators. Bob did lots of custom work in those early years. A shame so little of it has been published to document all the innovative work Bob did in colaboration with various artists. So many originals that few seem to know about.

Grape nuts are neither grapes nor nuts. Talk amongst yourselves.

Who else would we talk amongst?

It’s amazing how the tiniest scrap of information sends us all humping doorknobs like a rabid dog in heat…

MC is right, it’s just the connections for the poly oscillator bank - a set of oscillators that could be run through a filter (like Polymoog or Opus 3 later one) but not a fully polyphonic synthesizer. They made a few of these, used for harpsichord-like continuo passages on older Wendy Carlos records. What the tease means, is that the BMF has some documents that are not part of the original Bob Moog Archive. They’ll have things to post and show as they get into them, I’m sure. This one looks ready, if it’s going to be shown…?
