Hi everybody,
the “western” pentatonic scale is 1-2-3-5-6 if I’m not mistaken. There are however different hirajoshi scales. Does anybody know which scale has been programmed in the labyrinth? 1-3-4#-5-7 or 1-2b-4-5b-7b or 1-2-3b-5-6b?
Ok, folks. Maybe nobody’s interested or had time or whatever… So I switched on my Labyrinth, tuned it to C and gradually turned up the range knob and listened and that’s what I heard: The tones were c, e, f#, g and b. So it’s the scale according to Burrows and in numbers it reads like this:
1 - 3 - 4# - 5 - 7
