you need to turn the picture 180 to see the flea market any other interesting then and now photos that are not in the moog archive.

Thanks for the link.

I really enjoy those old cars that would drink plenty of oil. Now this is all history. Just like the original Moog Music inc.

An ex-girlfriend of mine from Batavia vaguely remembers driving by the Moog place with her parents when she was young.

I don’t think she had any idea of the significance of the place then.

Is that the same location as what I’ve heard referred as Trumansburg or was that a different location? Anybody know the history?

This is the Cheektowaga plant on Walden Avenue.

I visited that plant in 1985. They had just stopped manufacturing keyboard instruments then thanks to the DX-7.

Nope, Trumansburg was a in a semi-rural setting in a different part of New York state. It was moved to the Buffalo area after Moog was financially bailed out by an investor.

Awesome discovery! Thanks for the update on the location. I like urban exploration. Since the factory is a flea market, I’d bet there is some vintage Moog gear that may have been built there, though it probably wasn’t there for thirty plus years.

Yep.
Trumansburg is just north of Ithaca, NY on Cayuga Lake. I lived in an apt. above where the original Moog shop was. I even got to snoop in the basement a little. Alas, no old Moogs to be found.
