So what i have is logic9, along with my duet 2 interface i have been trying for the past 5 hours now to get some sound out of this thing and i cannot for the life of me. i have two 1/4’’ coming out of the audio out of the little phatty and into the audio in of the duet 2 which is hooked up via usb to the imac. i then created a external instrument channel in logic and set the midi destination to the (little phatty prg1=12) and input to input 1-2. but no sound? anyone have a similar setup and can help me out?
I dont know Logic, but the Little Phatty is only a mono instrument. It only has one audio output. That audio output should be going to your interface input, like you say you have, but you say you use two audio outputs of the phatty, when there is only one. Make sure you have only the audio output plugged in, and set up the audio channel in logic as a mono source so you get the audio on both left and right channels.
Do you have the phatty hooked up via USB? I assume so if Logic recognizes it as a Midi destination
Is the volume knob all the way down?
Is the output button off?
Can you hear anything through the headphone jack?
Can you hear anything when playing notes on the phatty’s keyboard?

You are absolutely right. The only reason I thought it was a stereo instrument was because the “expert” at guitar center told me it was and had me buy two 1’4’’ audio jacks. Anyway I finally got sound out of the thing and can now record its sound as an audio track after routing its output into a bus and then creating a new audio track with that bus as its input. Is this the way you record your little phatty? or is there another method, because with this method there really is no quantization, unless you turn flux on and move the individual transients manually, which can be tedious. I was also wondering is the any way to have an audio track routed back into the slim phatty so you can mess around with the filtering and other modulators? while recording.

I’m not sure if you already fixed it or not. But for my set up I have a Slim phatty being controlled by Keystation 61es and the audio out of my Slim Phatty is going in to my Mbox2 Input 2. In Logic 9 I created a multi instrument (and clicked the proper midi channels) in the environment page which is hooked to my input view so I know my Slim Phatty is outputting midi properly. Then on arrange page I created an audio track set to input 2 and stereo out. If I want to preview the Slim Phatty performance I turn on input monitoring.
