Ladies and Gentlemen,
I may be busy for quite some time. Number Four sounds so good.
Well done, Moog people!

Serial number four is quite cool as well.
Nice looking set-up.
I am sure you will enjoy it.
I am happy you enjoy the sound. Initial impressions good I take it?

I am simply having too much fun. Sounds terrific. I keep intending to take a break and read the manual, but… I just can’t drag myself away!
I can’t believe how great it sounds plugged straight in to an amp. With the 104Z it’s amazing, but even without… What a nice sound. ![]()
does it sound the same as the regular voyagers?
Damn 18watt, you beat me by 2! Here is serial number 6 which arrived today. I really love this! I used to have a Voyager Performer, whihc I regretably had to sell a while ago, and although it may be my imagination, I think this sounds closer to an original Model D (at least the one I heard) than the Voyager I had. It sounds different than the LP, but the two compliment each other well. I plugged the one output back into the inpu, and you can easily get that old Mini overdrive.
Enjoy yours 18watt!
Thanks, you too! It’s a terrific instrument. And, the wife likes the way it looks. ![]()
It’s always good to see new happy members when new products come out.
And, the wife likes the way it looks.
It’s cool she is into your hobbies. It makes things more fun. Has she tried it?
Does she like the sound of it too?
How could anyone not like the way that thing looks?
It really is a beatuiful instrument.
I believe that we have an INSTANT classic insrtument here.
You don’t even have to be into synthesizers at all to realize the VOS is pretty.
I really like the fact that the Moogs face can be tilted. Makes the knobs right there for your enjoyment. It adds to production cost, but it makes the interface so much better than the “regular” totally flat synths.
I am not sure I have EVER seen anyone leave their Voyager flat. (for playing)
Enjoy your synthesizer my friends, and a warm welcome to the Moog forums. We are a great bunch here.
She loves the sound, and yes, she played a bit last night. ![]()
I guess I hadn’t realized how many famous “signature” sounds were the Minimoog; seems like every time I twist a knob a familiar tone pops out!
Am I missing anything by not playing it through an amp designated for keyboard use? I’m assuming those would have a flatter frequency response. Right now it’s going through a Dr.Z Maz 18 into a Marshall 412 with Vintage 30s.
Running mine into a reissue Fender Deluxe Reverb amp +/- multiple effect pedals including a MF-102, Boss RE-20 delay, BF-2 Flanger, DS Distortion, EH Small Stone, and Boss Hyperfuzz.
I HIGHLY recommend either the Boss RE-20 or a MF-104Z delay. Moog and Delay are a match made in heaven.
My OS is supposed to be shipped from Moog to the retailer on the 18th. Anyone want to guess what serial number I will receive?
You know Nova Musik has them in stock right now, yes? ![]()
THat thing is pretty and it looks so untouched. Better change that STAT!

Did not know that! But I’ve already placed my order, so I guess I can hang on another 10 days or so. I’ve never owned a Moog, but have lusted after them since about 1972. As for analog synths, I have a Paia modular synth and an Octave Plateau Kitten, both of which are showing their age a bit, sorta like me.
Definitely worth the wait rather than give up your place in the queue, I’d say. I’m certain you’ll love the OS - I can’t get enough of the sound! I’ve been playing mine with a looper, and it’s so much fun. My guitars are getting jealous.
We need more pictures of the Old School Please
No problem. ![]()

What are the funny colourations around the knobs? Scratch Patch?
Yup.
Thanks for the pictures 18watt. Does it have any lights? ![]()
