Is there someting wrong with my Voyager?

Hi.Today when I was trying to find a way to connect my Triton Studio and my Voyager to my Mpc2000 sequencer I flipped the Envelope Gate Switch to ON/EXTERNAL and a sound kept sounding continuously without me pressing anything.Is that normal or is there something wrong with my Voyager?Thanks

No, there is nothing wrong; that is normal.
In the ON/EXTERNAL position; without an external gate input the volume envelope gate is always ON (just as though you were holding down a key).
