Is the Windows Sub Phatty Editor fit for use?

Hi All,

I’ve been watching this forum for a few weeks now without creating an account, keeping up to date with OS updates, hanging out for the Windows editor/VST plug and generally watching developments. Firstly, big thanks to Amos for being so accessible and so speedy with addressing all the issues as they’re uncovered!

I’ve taken to browsing the moogconnect FTP directly because it became difficult to keep up with all the changes on the "final bug roundup"thread. I’ve discovered SubPhatty Editor Standalone.exe.zip.

Now, I’m not sure if this is a sort of pre-release try-it-if-you’re-game kind of file, or not. On my Win7x64 machine, it runs if I load it up without the Sub turned on. The Preferences window shows “hardware disconnected.” Fair enough. If I turn the Sub on while the program is running, though, that doesn’t change.

If I start it up with the Sub turned on first, it crashes. The dialog box shows this:

Problem Event Name: BEX

Should I be hopeful that this is being worked on, or am I getting w-a-a-y ahead of myself?

Thanks, and cheers,
Murray.

Is a SubPhatty Editor official released yet? I don’t think so.

Hi Murray;

no it’s not ready yet, as you’ve discovered. We’re working on it!

No worries. Thanks Amos.
