Is that official Moog Music label???

found this in a place i buy music… is that moog’s official label?

I don’t believe so. If it was, you’d think there would be something about it on moogmusic.com, but they don’t mention it at all. Some of those songs have awfully familiar names, though. Like I’ve seen them posted by some forum members here. FiltersweeperVCO or EricK, do you know anything about Moog Music Records?

I don’t think that ive heard of it before..if I have it was something very vague and not enough to say.

However MOOG MUSIC is definately a part of intellectual property in some ways and Im sure that any monetary gains made off of the usage of such property would be owed to MOOG MUSIC unless they licensed such which i highly doubt Mike Adams would do.

Better ask Jack Faraz, creator of the Moog Music Label.



A search for Moog Music Records or Moog Music record label came up with no relevant results.

Who knows what Mike Adams would do. The Hungarian band The Moog got permission to use the Moog name. Come to think of it, I probably qualify to license the Moog name considering how I have the stickers on almost every piece of musical gear I own. :mrgreen:

Yeah and don’t forget about the Moog Cookbook too but they aren’t going around claiming Moog music just like you aren’t going around claiming walmart.

Using the name Moog Music is definately in violation of intellectual property rights and considering that theres nothing about this on their Website or their Myspace Page “Record Label: Unsigned; type of label: none”

I think for more info then Nick M. shoudl be able to say something.
