Is possible to connect a wha pedal to a moog?
it will sound good?
let me know, thanks.
Sure.
it will sound good?
That’s up to you.
what’s about the jimi hendrix crybaby pedal? with it is possible to create only the wah effect?
do you have other advices about a pedal for create parcitular sounds connecting it to a moog?
thanks.
Any wah will work. I use a Danelectro Dan-O-Wah sometimes with good results.
As for particular sounds, any guitar pedal could be used. For example, I use an EHX #1 Echo for delay, Danelectro Fab Tone for fuzz, the distortion on the Dan-O-Wah for distortion, etc.
If you really want to get down to the nitty gritty- a wah pedal is essentially just a bandpass filter. It cuts the lows and highs and lets the mids through. Essentially its origin is in synthesis. Yes a wah pedal will work just as good as it does on a guitar or any other type of instrument.
In my opinion though, the crybaby wah’s are pieces of shite. I think a Vox is superior in construction as well as tone. I believe they are similar in price.
Or you could go out and find a voltage controlled bandpass filter from somewhere or build your own.
Why not just put your Voyager in Bandpass (HP+LP filter) mode and control the wah w/ the touchscreen? This assumes you’re using a Voyager, of course… ![]()
Since the classic wah circuits are based around inductors, they tend to sound different from synth bandpass circuits.

is this a good pedal?
what effects can i create with this pedal?
The EP-2 is an excellent thing to have with the Little Phatty (or with Moogerfoogers).
But realize that it does something fundamentally different from what a Wah does. A wah pedal, or any other effects pedal, works on the signal from the audio output (so it goes between the audio out and your amp or mixer). You send audio out from the LP and into the pedal. But the EP-2 plugs into the Control Voltage input jacks on the side panel, and it lets you sweep those parameters with your foot. So, for example, if you plug the EP-2 into the Filter CV input jack, then pushing the pedal up and down does the same thing as tweaking the Cutoff knob on the front panel.
The main thing to remember is that with any analog synth there are two different kinds of signal. There are the audio signals, and there are CV signals. The CV signals don’t make sound directly, but are used to control parameters inside the synth.
Some guitar pedals do not like the way higher output level and the different impedance of a line level output like the Moogs got. They will sound then different from the sound you get when connecting a guitar.
But I prefer to have a voltage pedal like the EP-2 to control the Moogs filters while playing.
To reiterate, BUY an EP2 and connect it to your Moog’s filter CV in.. SEt the resonance to your liking and VOILA you have a better sounding wah effect - and you do so by using the Moog circuits directly and not an external (usually cheap wah) pedal…

Or you can take
it one step further with The MP 201 Multipedal! ![]()

I should try that pedal out.
Wahs can be used with any instrument that has 1/4" cables.
Crybaby wahs have a fairly narrow range that is designed to work well on a guitar, but does sound great with a synth or electric piano or clavinet, depending on what you’re playing.
Tel-Ray era Morley wahs are great because they have a larger range and utilize optical readers.
thank you all for helps!
