Is an RME a little excessive with the LP?

I really wanted an Voyager but didn’t have the money so got an LP.

Now I know I MUST get a voyager!

I’m wondering if I should get a RME and control it with my LP or just sell my LP to get the keyboard Voyager?

Have you ever wished you had just bought a Voyager keyboard? (of course!)

I’m wondering if I get the RME would it be a little excessive with the LP, like I’ll just end up selling the LP. Or maybe they are two different machines and I’ll love both???

Please help me make a decision. I’m about ready for the purchase

Hi sharkbarf,

I have never owned a synth device that had CV connections that didn’t somehow get
used most of the time. I stop patching when I run out of patch cords or holes to
put them in.

The possibilities from patching a Little Phatty and RME to each other are enormous:

Two more VCOs & ENVs, one more VCF, VCA, LFO, plus an Arpeggiator!

The bigger issue might be Aftertouch, but you can always get a low-cost controller
with Aftertouch. Or maybe the X-Y Pad is critical for your needs.

But IMHO the Phatty would never prove to be superfluous.

I haven’t even delved in to CV connections.

have any advice where to start?
