Init Patch Function: Wrong Values

Hi,

when pressing the init button in sub37 editor, it initiates wrong values in modulation bus pitch mod and filter mod amounts.
mod bus 1 pitch amt: 8579 (far enough away from center so modulation is audible) this offset is also visualized by the gui
mod bus 2 pitch amt: 8192

turning the knobs on the hardware an setting it to the centered middle position i get this values:
mod bus 1 pitch amt: 8256
mod bus 2 pitch amt: 8256

my setup:

macbook pro late 2013 osx 10.11.2
latest vst editor / firmware
usb midi cable, connected via “anker slim” buspowered usb3 hub
midi channels at sub3 in: 2 / out: 2
rme firewire fireface 400 audio interface connected via firewire to thunderbolt adapter
ableton live beta 9.5.1b6
vst editor instance within a instrument rack

i have this problem with nrpn and midi and 7 and 14 bit settings.

Thanks. This is actually by design. Mod 1 Pitch amount is set slightly higher then center position for INIT PRESET, so it’s correct.

but the init patches on the hardware (blank presets) have other values than the this offset by the vst init patch function. does not make sense to me. why the offset? thanks!

pardon, ok now i get it. your setting up for a gentle default vibrato. in comparison to the hardware init patches my observation was this is a bug. its a feature

one last argument:
if the user is doing the alt click combination he is still not getting the center position. this was what me gave the impression is it a bug. i think this isn’t right. the init patch may have the offset. but the alt click combination should center the bipolar knob.

Thanks for the suggestion. The design is such that Alt-Clicking will get the control to it’s default value, and not necessarily to the center position.
