Importing Animoog presets to Animoog Z on macOS?

Hi all,

Moog provide instructions to import Animoog presets into the Animoog Z app on iPad: https://moogmusicsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4411133583635-Importing-your-original-Animoog-presets-into-Animoog-Z

Moog also tells us where Animoog Z user presets are stored on the macOS: https://animoog-z-manual.webflow.io/presets

However, I haven’t found any instructions on how to import Animoog presets for use in Animoog Z on macOS. Is that supported? If so, how do we proceed with the importation?

Thanks! – Alex

Have you ever imported those presets into animoogZ running on iPad? I was interested but was weary it might mess something up. I I’m using a ipadpro. Wasn’t sure if those presets were created in Animoog and not Animoog Z and was wondering if there were compatibility issues since there was such a gap in time since it was initially released Animoog and then later animoogZ thanks

hi VCO,

Yes, I successfully imported thousands of Animoog 2 presets (and timbres) into Animoog Z on my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9". I haven’t found anything ‘messed up’ but of course you’ll need to adapt the original presets if you want them to benefit from the 3rd dimension available in Animoog Z. I wrote a bit about my experience with importing presets in this post https://www.animoog.org/2021/11/23/animoog-z-announced-by-moog-music-my-beta-testing-perspective/ .

Hope this helps
