if you could change 1 thing about the LP

i say 1 but i can’t decide myself, it would be one of the following anyway:

  • switch to turn VCA decay off
  • volume control for the input

Id still have to change the name lol

the name, the name, the name, the name, the name…

i’m kinda used to the name, it’s just whenever i say it out loud :unamused:

if you could change 1 thing about the LP…

it would be to allow the LFO to modulate the filter and osc’s at the same time.

The name.

The name. Do I see a trend here?

We would have to make it a digital polyphonic keyboard. lolol.

No probably I would change the price to 1000 and there woudl only be tribute editions made.

add s+h as source for the lfo, so one could use the LP also for playing on its own without addin a $$ CP.
just my 2¢.

cheers

Well, I would really like a few more keys at the bottom end of the keyboard.
Make the casing a few centimeters longer, and have the keyboard go down to a low A (or a G). The LP is IMO mainly a solo-synth, and therefore a few more keys would make a big difference in terms of playing runs etc. That’s really my only big gripe about the design. 3 octaves is a bit on the short side…
Also being able to adjust the external audio input would be nice. (I assume the CP-251 can do this for the LP?)
Anyhow, I’m pretty certain the design is finalized.

Has actually moog started making these yet?

CV outs. It’s so ‘selfish’ to only have inputs…as if one would ONLY ever want to hear the moog osc’s, instead of using the LP for a controller of additional analog hardware as well…And don’t talk to me about midi-to-cv converters, lol.

Stereo audio ins to process via stereo filters.

1st : The Name
2nd: Layout and that swoopy backside = wasted space

Dedicated pots for each parameter!!! it’s so confusing to have to push a button to get to a control, i hope it works well (I trust moog…) At least, if not dedicated pots, dedicated cv outputs for every knob, it doesn’t seem like that would be too hard (especially with all that space on the back!)
That’s just my take on it…

i think the knob per section will work really well myself.
mabe not as good as knob per function for performance, but for editing memory i think the layout of the LP is far superior to other synths like the voyager.

i only hope the regular edition will also have the wood and cool-colored buttons.

oh, and no funny quirks in the hardware please.

Love the look, love the name, love the price tag…NOT loving the wait time.

ok this is a bit hard to explain, imagine that these — are non-lit LEDs and 0 is a lit LED

only one lights up to show where the position of the knob is

--------0-----

but i would much much prefer it so that all the previous LEDs are lit as well

0000000-----

really cool to show filter openning and closing e.t.c.

I second godzilla’s comment.
and while im doing that:

1)change the name. good humor or not, its cheezy. plus, I’m sure it deters vertically challenged persons of substance from buying it …
2)change the look to a more simple shape. Simplify! It’s a synthesiser, not a first year sculpture student’s midterm project…

Please tell me this post is a joke :unamused:

oh so you think he’d have to be joking to second my comment

grrr
