I Just Got $850 I Wasn't Expecting.....

…help me blow it all on gear.

For reference, I’m an experimental musician (mostly drone/ambient textures with some proggy analog synth flourishes) and I’m using an Access Virus for pads and a Moog Voyager for leads

Here are a few of the options I’m thinking of:
1) Eventide PitchFactor and Moog VX-351

2) MFB-522 drum computer & MFB Step64 sequencer

3) Electro Harmonix 2880 looper

4) Wait for my tax return, pool my resources and get a GenoQs Nemo

Anyone use any of these and have recommendations (in either the positive or negative)?

I tell you what, before you do anything else, make sure NovaMusik sells it. You will stretch that 850 out quite a bit.

Eric

Personally, I would drool over the MFB step 64 sequencer. I could not get one so I bought another sequencer, but I am still thinking about the MFB, cuz it has direct CV’s out.

Future-Retro Orb + VX-351?

Id wait for that tax return.

Thanks for the input everyone! Still trying to decide…

Id have to go with the MFB drum and squencer combo. Their small, fairly inexpensive, and add a lot of live tweakability to your music. I’ve been wanting them for some time.

Out of your list I would go with the Nemo

The Nemo looks great but I just don’t know if I can justify the cost. What does the extra $1600 get me over the Step64?

bragging rights :stuck_out_tongue:
