i have a realistic concertmate mg-1 that needs repairs. i got it for dirt cheap from this guy here in town who told me that his father had it and took it apart and started to put it back together and then gave up because of whatever reason. all of the dreaded goo from inside is gone, and everything seems to be in good condition. i have a little baggy full of extra knobs and sliders and some other things. i also have a pdf of the service manual and the regular manual.

anyone here know how to fix these things or know where i should look? i have a little phatty, so if i get it fixed, i doubt that i will keep it around. i just wanna get it working and get it in the hands of someone who will use it.

thanks for your time in advance.

Or… you could put it in the hands of someone who will fix it, THEN use it. Save yourself the trouble!

Just kidding. My MG-1 was my first analog, and I got quite familiar with its insides, and pretty versed in basic to moderate maintenance. But I’m definitely not a tech. The question to ask at this point would be: Do you know what’s wrong with it? Or is it pretty much just disassembled?

its pretty much in pieces. the main board has everything on it still, and is still connected to the chassis still, but it needs some work. ill take some pics later.
