Howard Jones talks about his 2 Prodigy's

New Howard Jones interview up at rlmusic.co.uk this week.

He doesn’t do too many interviews so go check it out, full of interesting analogue stories.

Coming in October - interview with our friend Jean-Jacques Perrey (French moog synthesist) and for November we have a studio exposé featuring electronica artist Benge (Ben Edwards).

If anyone out there might like to feature on the rlmusic website then send me a private email.

The new avatar is cool.

Anyway, I don’t think I would meet the credentials to appear on the site. I wouldn’t mind writing an article (as a customer) though.

Adam

You should do that!

There are a couple of articles already written by RLMusic customers in the extras section . . I’m sure Richard would be happy to put up anything interesting.

Have you composed anything of your own yet using the kit you bought from him? as that would be interesting . . you know, with a little biography, a few photos and your gig video (still having trouble with that - may have to put it up online as it is).

Have a think about it.

Mal

I haven’t really composed anything yet. However, I will write a little review as a satisfied customer. Writing has never been my strong point!

Great!

i’ll nip along and have a look at that asap!.. Didn’t Howard adapt a Prodigy into a “Strap-on” in the manner of a Liberation?

I agree with Boeing about your avatar!!

Splendid Stuff!!

Hey SC

HoJo did adapt a prodigy into a “sling-on” . . . it was lost for many years but on the day we went to film at his studio he gave it to Richard (RLmusic) to restore, someone having found it and given it back to him the week before - it will be featured in a restoration article on the site in the future.

Enjoying your CD by the way!

Mal

Thanks!

We also appear to be gaining popularity on the Lemon Jelly forum!
What’s going to happen to HJ’s restored Prod?

He is keeping it . . the Prodigy is Howards favourite synth, he has a few but the Sling-on one was his first, so it will be restored and returned to his studio.

Mal

Sweet!!

Actually, I had a brainwave at 5:00 this morning (I can assure you that this happens very rarely!) which resulted in me running to my Prophet-5, and playing a bunch of riffs that were playing in my head, the end result was quite impressive. I can throw something together, specially for the site, if you want, plus the dreaded gig video, a bio (nothing interesting), customer review, and a few pics. I need something to keep me occupied.

Go for it!

Mal

Well, Howard refreshingly doesn’t believe in hair dye…
