How to record multiple presets in Ableton with the Sub 37

I’ve set up the Sub 37 as an external instrument on a MIDI track in Ableton. Then I recorded a clip with one preset. But when I tried to record a second clip with a different preset, the sound of the first clip changed as well.

Is there a way to route different sounds to different channels in the Sub 37 editor? Or do I have to route each sound to an audio track instead?

Any tips would be highly appreciated :wink:

This is what my setup looks like. On track 2 I recorded one clip with the Sub 37. On track 3 I want to record a different clip, using another preset.

You can not. It’s not a multitibral instrument, which means it can only play one sound or preset at a time. You’'ll need to record the audio first, then record your new layer on a different audio channel.
