Hi, welcome to the group.

All analog synths are a bit different, so it will vary. I worked this one on a Prodigy. All numbers in o’clock position unless otherwise noted

PercBass

essentially :

one Oscillator 16’ full volume, square wave, cutoff 11, resonance 10, negative envelope (EG amount) 11, keyboard tracking 50 % , single trigger (legato off)

VCF : zero attack, decay 9, sustain 11, release 9
VCA : zero attack, decay 12, zero sustain, release 12

Sounds very close to your sound bit.

Thanks alot for your help Portamental

I tried how you explained out on my little phatty with no luck.
might be because it a different synth than what you are using.
maybe someone could make this on the phatty I really want to understand how this sound is made

Vickyblack,

What synth(s) do you have available?

Hi Ledbetter

Little phatty is my only hardware synth

Vicky.. it’s almost the same on the Little Phatty, actually, the Prodigy and the LP are the two most sounding alike Moogs IMO.

But as with every analog, there are minute differences

Here’s the complete setting for the LP

Osc1 : 16’, square wave, full level
Octave buttons : -1 (orange)

Osc 2 : level 0 (not used)

All numbers in oclock except otherwise noted and zero means all the way counterclockwise

cutoff 11
Resonance zero
Egr Amount 3
Overload zero
Kb amount 12 (noon)

VCA
Attack zero
Decay 3
sustain 0
Release 12

VCF

Attack zero
Decay 12
sustain 9
Release 12

Go into menus, set legato Off
Save your Preset as PercBass

Start from these number, and adjust each setting by ear until its sounds proper on your LP, but the above will be very close.

Thank you so much Portamental
It sounded really close with a few tweaks, as you said.

I will be back when I need some more help Portamental hehe.

Thanks for your help learnt a lot from this.
