How do I make a String sound

Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to get a nice string sound out of my phatty? I’ve tried but can’t seem to get anything that sounds close.

I have never tried to make a string sound on the LP because I have so many other synths that do this so well…

However, if this is any help:

Years ago with my ARP Odyssey, the standard string patch used to be made using a pulse wave on both oscillators, slightly detuned for fatness, and using pulse width modulation to add more fatness and a hint of string “glimmer”.

This might give you a good place to start.
